The influence of social conditions on the development of individual housing construction is considered.
Today Ukraine experiences a tragedy that thousands of people and their families are forced to leave their homes facing the death, because of the military actions of the Russian horde against the civilian population to destroy it, leaving them no choice but to flee. Due to the large flows of internally displaced persons, there are not enough places with normal living conditions. According to the UN, since the start of the war with Russia more than 10 million Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes. More than 3 million of them went abroad, the rest became internally displaced persons (IDPs) or displaced persons inside Ukraine.
The scientific article considers the problems of housing shortage for people in conditions of the forced internal large scale migration and the relevance of modular construction as one of the ways to solve this difficult social situation. Several examples of prefabricated modular buildings are presented and considered, the characteristics of which can meet the minimum housing needs of a family of 3–5 people. The main approaches, principles and indicators influencing the construction of this type of housing are formed. The advantages and drawbacks of housing built on prefabricated modular technology are highlighted.
It is established that increasing the availability of housing construction, as well as simplifying the construction of this type of housing, allows the state to quickly and in large quantities meet the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in their own housing. Implementation of this type of housing is an adequate way to minimum provide necessary living conditions for people with difficult life situations.
The characteristics, approaches and practical recommendations in the field of housing affordability are analyzed, namely the construction of prefabricated modular housing, as well as the technologies used in its construction.
